1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing the EcomELO app or creating an account, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. Description of Service

EcomELO is a verified revenue leaderboard for Shopify merchants. The service connects to your Shopify store via the Shopify Admin API, fetches order data, calculates revenue metrics, and displays them on public and private leaderboards.

3. Account & Store Access

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. By connecting your Shopify store, you grant EcomELO permission to access your order data (amounts and timestamps) for the purpose of calculating revenue metrics. You may revoke this access at any time by uninstalling the app from your Shopify store.

4. Communications & Marketing

By creating an account, you agree that EcomELO may contact you via email, phone, or text message to:

• Provide service updates, product announcements, and new feature notifications.
• Promote events, offers, and opportunities relevant to Shopify merchants.
• Share updates about our partners, sponsors, and collaborators.
• Send marketing and promotional content related to the EcomELO ecosystem.

You may opt out of marketing communications at any time by contacting us. Transactional messages related to your account (e.g. security alerts) are not optional.

5. Data & Privacy

Your use of EcomELO is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Key points:

• We will not sell your data to third parties. Your store data, order data, and personal information will never be sold, rented, or traded to any third party.
• We only share data with third-party services necessary to operate the platform (hosting, database, currency conversion) as outlined in our Privacy Policy.
• You retain full control over what information is publicly visible through our privacy settings.

6. Leaderboard & Public Display

By opting in to the public leaderboard, you consent to your store name, revenue metrics, and profile information being displayed publicly on ecomelo.io. You may opt out or hide specific information at any time from your dashboard. Revenue figures are calculated from real order data and are intended to be accurate, but we do not guarantee their precision.

7. Communities

Private community leaderboards are visible only to members of that community. Community owners are responsible for managing their community and its members. EcomELO is not responsible for the conduct of community members or owners.

8. Prohibited Use

• Manipulating order data or revenue figures to misrepresent your store's performance.
• Creating fake stores or accounts to game the leaderboard.
• Scraping, copying, or redistributing leaderboard data without permission.
• Using the service for any unlawful purpose.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may terminate your account at any time by uninstalling the app and contacting us to request data deletion.

10. Limitation of Liability

EcomELO is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to inaccurate revenue calculations, service downtime, or data loss.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
